My flying has sucked this year...the conditions here in Ontario Canada have been incredibly poor and I haven't been able to travel near as much as I am used to. I've also found the forecasts for here haven't been accurate so I've also wasted a lot of time hang-waiting...and it often resulted in short flights and next-to-zero XC...certainly not my style.
So I've been down in the dumps about hang gliding as of late...I get that way when I have reasonable goals that I am unable to meet. But the other evening, I got out of that funk. I took this amazing tow just before sunset up to about 6000'msl and Steve Younger, our tug pilot dropped me off just above the tops of the clouds. I made sure I had my wing-tip camera ready to go as I figured it'd be a special flight.
Here is the best picture I was able to get.

I already have it set as my computer's wallpaper, it's printed on my wall and I will also order a poster of it.
More pics of the flight are found here and a bit more of a write-up is here.
Simple flights like this remind me how special of an activity hang gliding is. Sometimes (like now) I feel I take advantage of just how lucky I am to do such an activity and almost take airtime for granted.
