Nats Waypoints
Sun Peaks logo

Here is an interactive map of the waypoints to be used at the Nationals. Click on any of the markers to see the name and maybe some info about that point. The .kml and .wpt file is also attached here for download but, if you upload them to your GPS now, we strongly recommend you delete and reupload them from the meet computer at the event to ensure you get the most up-to-date list as things will most likely change before then.

Friday, August 14: Checked

Friday, August 14: Checked in to my place in Sun Peaks late last night and ran around most of today getting things organized. The Resort staff are super helpful and excited to have us here. People have been arriving throughout the day and getting registered and organized. We have a big group from Ontario which we haven't seen in years, so very good to see. My arch-rival Kawalski has arrived with a U2 which is even more pimped out than mine! Maybe time to dust off the Talon again... Jon Orders showed up and is pumped to take the crown. He's ditching his Sting 3 and moving up to a racy C4 to make sure he has the edge. Game on! Jon is one happy camper, as he got a spiffy new T-Shirt before he even finished registering. Ian is hard at work flipping pancakes at his B&B already. Meet headquarters is at Masa's, where they've hung up a glider in the main lobby and are in the process of decking out with posters and banners for us. Rob Clarky is showing up tomorrow with his Captain Canada sail, which is going to be proudly displayed at Masa's. Launch director Peter Warnes checked in today and started taking early payment for his services as launch director. Peter is getting paid in beer!! The forecast is looking great, so there's a lot of anticipation: ttp://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/cabc0339
Practice day and main registration/reception is tomorrow. Day 1 is Sunday. Stay tuned!
