However, the HPAC comp comitee had a bid for the PG nat during the same time and decided to push for it. It was supported by HPAC BOD. Consequently, the Willi 2010 is pushed back one week i.e. July 16/17 to 24/25. Sorry for the inconvenience. The idea was to honor the one person who was reponsible for having the current road put in place. Prior to this new road, which can allow most any vehicle access to the Lookout Launch, there was a narrow, steep 4x4 track which made the drive up scarier than the flights.
Willi 2009 date changeSubmitted by Serge Lamarcheâ on Thu, 10/02/2008 - 12:14I got to talk with the owner of the landing zone, John McIzaac, and others that wanted to move the Willi 2009 around. They insisted to take the dates of the Willi for the PG Nats 2009 for personal reasons. John backed these PG Nat organizers. I couldn't keep the dates. The Willi 2009 would then precede the PG nat if the PG nat bid in Golden wins! The 2009 Willi would then be July 17 evening to Saturday July 25, or Sunday July 26 if the PG Nats doesn't take the Sunday as well. But if the PG Nat organizers in Golden loose the bid I would do the Willi at the dates I asked previously.

Cdn HG Nats - task 3 reportSubmitted by Ken Kinzieâ on Sat, 07/26/2008 - 13:46The task was out and return 110k with a turn point across the valley from the flight park landing goal. Things went well for my flight, I was the only one in my class to complete the task BUT the flight didn't count! Some how the track log feature on my gps was turned off!
