Submitted by Linda Salamone on Tue, 08/19/2008 - 17:59.More flying to report this past weekend, August 16th first: Saturday was an early day at Hammondsport due to other obligations but everyone that was there made the most of it for sure. Katrin, Karl and Rick were doing site work but I insisted it was flyable since Ryan was soaring his PG. We all set up and Mark went first and got up pretty easily. I took a long time to launch because Ryan and Mark were sinking out while I was in the slot. Finally I decided that if they could hang onto the ridge, well, I could too... so MOVE OVER...
Smell the Sea and Feel the Sky...
Submitted by Jamie Shelden on Tue, 08/19/2008 - 17:37.We just arrived back on Mallorca after a full day of sailing from Menorca. Menorca is definitely my favorite of the two islands - much smaller and fewer people (although still rather touristy). We spent just two days there, but got to see quite a lot. Tomorrow we arrive back at the marina in Palma and have to give our little floating house back to it's owner. Sure has been nice.
