The event uses ground base towing, pay out winches, please try to hook yourself up with a tow system before you come, myself,Ross Hunter Jason Dyer, Glen Low, Leif Hanson,Doug Keller, Doug Litzenburger, Rob Clarkson all have systems.
We fly over the flat lands of Alberta, often getting 8000 agl. Last year we completed a 100+ mile task. This will be a class B race to goal event.
Pilot consist of Novice up to Advance, but one should be comfortable towing in thermaling conditions.
Entry fee is $80.00

I'm going to run a very informal XC meet @ the Estella Flying site in Wasa, BC (southern Rocky Mtn trench, 200km s of Golden) over the Canada Day Long weekend. Preliminary turnpoints are attached in Google Earth format below. Very informal meaning rides and retrieves will be organized amongst the pilots attending, no launch director, basically just me scoring and doing the best I can to direct the meet (and fly in it too of course!). Hang gliders welcome as well (I'm happy to score HG's as well - just need an HG meet director to step up and organize the stiffy protion of things).

This year we have great meet here in Ecuador.

What more can you ask for...a warm place to fly in October/November, some XC flying, some ridge racing, cheap beer, cheap food, inexpensive accommodations! Just show up and everything is taken care of!
